1.Read books and look up resources in websites giving good and simple tips on horticulture. Reading the tips you can now sketch out your own garden.

2.Purchase proper gardening tools from hardware stores. You can browse sites for appropriate horticulture tools.

3.If you are a beginner in this field and would want to master the art, then it is advisable for you to plant easy to grow flowering shrubs. Improving in the field you can start with plants which require optimum care and maintenance.

4.Spacing, aligning, fertilizing watering and light are the essential elements for the growth.

5.Know how to grow flowering plants. The proportion of tactics you need to practice for growing them.

6.A fundamental of all these steps is to culture the soil of your garden. Nourish the soil with fertilizers enriched with vitamins and minerals required for plant growth.

7.You must know that plants thrive well in soil which are crumbly and can be easily ploughed.

8.Add loads of humus to the soil. Plough the ground well. Humus helps to retain water in sand textured soils and strengthens root by supplying enough air when plants are rooted in clay soils.

9.You must know which plant require what amount of light. Place plants in alignments following the sun rays which fall on your garden. You must keep in mind that roses require the most light and thrive well in such situations. Sunflower plants cannot do without sunlight. Foxglove, hosta, columbine however require lesser lights for growth.
